Since tomorrow I have to give a seminar on Advanced English Composition - no, it's not at university; it's for the staff at the office - I'm spending today completing the presentation that goes along with it. In the meantime, thanks for visiting and please have a look at some of the news circulating around SEA / ANZ Granado Espada.
Diego's Art Nouveau: Loading Screen Art Contest!
Get a chance to have your fan-art or captioned screenshots immortalized as one of the loading screens in future expansions of Granado Espada. See the article for full rules and submission guidelines.
Community GMs and Community Managers World Tour
Get a chance to vent upon, hobnob with, and meet-n-greet the Granado Espada community team. Yes, I'm all for telling them the troubles besetting the game, but do try to be nice.
Play GE - Philippines
The new Granado Espada PH website is up, after an extended hiatus. Of particular interest are the sponsors: a video card maker, a monitor fabricator, a telecommunications outfit, a notebook and school supplies factory, and a computer parts reseller. Dare we hope about limited-edition Granado Espada-themed stuff now?

After a brief hiatus, the Granado Espada fans' brigade at doratomo.jp are once again uploading news of upcoming events in kGE and jGE! [They're my source for the information in this entry, natch.]
Here are just a few of their latest posts:

It seems like they're holding a promotion for some of the Wings costumes. Easily identifiable in the picture are Lucifer Wings, Devil Wings, and the Baphomet Horn. I actually don't know what the name of the fourth set of wings is....

This one's a wee bit different and seems to be talking about a special in-game questing event, which promotes the upcoming Granado Espada Version 3.0 "Third Civilization". As you can see, it involves hunting drops shaped like the letters G and E and the numbers 3 and 0. [Sesame Street anyone?]
Players can gather the characters and turn them in for selected items. No idea whether the beachwear costume in the final row is a permanent one, without stats, or a temporary one, with stats.
This particular questing thing seems to work along the same lines as the "X" hunting we did at Christmas: kill Jack Frosts, gather "X" items, turn them in for specific rewards.
It looks like "Third Civilization" is nigh for the Korean players. I wonder when we'll get it in SEA / ANZ, though? Considering we don't even have Bai Hu yet, and Chaos Requiem is just about a week old as I type....

Waaaay back in March of this year I had the honor of being on the team that won First Prize in the inaugural Fantazzztic Film Awards, the GE machinima/fan film contest. The final version of our movie, Not Another Love Story - Ze Muzical! netted me and the brothers Reclusion some really nifty prizes.
One of those prizes was the special treat handed out by IP e-Games: a set of fairly high-end video cards. Here's our team receiving the hardware at the Dom1nation II event:

From left to right: Nate Reclusion, Darrick Reclusion, pCM Veya, NineMoons [me], and RCM Hrin.
In stark contrast to the boys, it took me quite a long time to finally make use of the video card. Finally, though, after a series of necessary changes to the workstation I use in both my day job and the never-ending grind of GE, I'm happy to report that yes, the video card has been installed. You can see the results for yourself in the screenshot that follows:

Musketeer Anthy, scout Furyk, and Bernelli Shandre.
I'm still boggling at the absolute clarity of detail, myself.
[By the way, if you're wondering why the proportions look the way they do, one of the changes made to my workstation includes the installation of a widescreen LCD monitor.]
I think having the video card will result in better screenshots from now on. Thanks to IP e-Games for the video card. And LOTS of thanks go to my partner Rosso for putting the workstation back together ^^ ♥

Now that my main NineMoons team in Carracci has attained Veteran status, I'm torn between a handful of diverging objectives:

- Use Shandre [Grace Bernelli] and Furyk [scout] to level Luhne [Catherine the Summoner]. If I get Luhne to Veteran, then I can use her to leech other characters, in particular my fledgling Siuan [Feng Ling] and Garet [Bai Hu, when he becomes available].

- Use Shandre and Furyk to level my newly-created musketeer, Anthy. I created her for the express purpose of attaining the Outrage Shot stance, since Shandre can't use it.
- Begin the Katovic Snowfield quest chain. This will take quite a bit of time since I want to collect Gavin Jameson's card [but not necessarily build him], gather a crapload of loots just to build some of the KS items, and brave the Ice Tower + Novia.
- Begin the Bahamas Swamps quest chain. Likewise, time-consuming in that there's a lot of hunting to do.
Plus, there's the added requirement of needing to complete both the KS and Bahamas quests since I want to go on to Chaos Requiem, and eventually collect Selva Norte's RNPC card when she finally becomes available.
Taking any of the four options means I have to give up the other three. So I'm trying to decide which option will net me the most benefits, since I will have to spend a lot of time and effort on it.
Anyone have any ideas?
