WARNING: High spoilery ahead!
All information is taken from the doratomo.jp information page on the Selva quest. However, I'm having a rather difficult time puzzling out the English translations for the quest. Please consider this entry a preliminary explanation of what's going to happen.
This entry is subject to change without prior notice.

doratomo.jp has just released the details of the quests for recruiting Selva, and here's what pioneers will need to do if they want to obtain this prized RNPC for their barracks.
Before embarking on the Selva recruitment quests, pioneers MUST have completed the Chaos Requiem quests. Talk to an NPC in Ustiur to begin Selva's quest.
Pioneers will be required to provide the following ingredients for Katovic Soup:
20 x Gold Apple
50 x Wolf Meat
50 x Beet
50 x Cabbage
Another required item is called "Proof of hero" on the doratomo page; two of these items are needed. They can be obtained from the Poison Yard and from the Battle Colosseum. Get three "Proof of old hero" items from Secret Temple and exchange them for one "Proof of hero". The article warns that it might be easier to collect the "Proof of old hero" items, because the "Proof of hero" item is a rare drop.
Correction 01: In SEA / ANZ GE, the "Proof of hero" item may well correspond to the "Hero Seals" given out in the Battle Colosseum.
Since part of the quest line requires encountering Dr. Fran Mothein in Prison de Joaquin, a Key to the Corridor of Assize is also needed in this quest. Pioneers need to speak to Nunez in Coimbra, who will send them to Prison de Joaquin.
The next step in the quest takes pioneers to the Katovic Snowfield, where one of the NPCs will continue the quest line. There will be an "Avalanche"-named monster to fight.
Correction 02: The theory at present is that this monster is a quest-type Avalanche Apparition.
The next steps involve talking to Invierno, and then to Dr. Torsche back on the mainland. One of the bookshelves will allow pioneers to discover a frozen "Cortes". "Cortes" can be revived with Katovic Soup. As soon as "Cortes" is revived, an instanced fight is triggered, and "Cortes" must be defeated.
Upon victory, pioneers can then receive Selva's card, the Cuchemar stancebook, and apparently the Rapida Espada stancebook and the recipe for Selva's Armshield, from Dr. Torsche.
One of the materials required to forge Selva's Armshield, which has an innate AR+1, is 50 Mysterious Powders.
Corrections were provided by staark, previously the very helpful anonymous commenter - thank you!

I hope I can provide more details as soon as I puzzle out the rest of the translations and Engrish. In the meantime, may I humbly suggest you start saving up the materials already mentioned in this guide? It's better to be prepared ^^

Just a hunch: The 'avalanche' named monster is none other than the Avalanche Apparition in Snowfield (the one that drops the red jewel fragment)..
@ anonymous
could be. the translations are so hard to read, and I need to check the katakana before I can be really sure.
anyway, if you're right - one more reason to hunt AAs, eh? ^^
In addition,
The 'proof of hero' stuff might just be the 'hero seals' we get from the battle colosseum, for which you need to obtain 50 to exchange for some costume recipe..
@ anonymous
very, very grateful to you for these snips of information! will be updating the guide now.
Hero's seal is needed in this quest. The so-called "Old Hero's seal" is obtained from low level Super Fights, & you have to collect 3 of them to exchange for 1 Hero's Seal.
Other wise, the Hero's seal you obtained from the Veteran Super Fights (Poison Yard & Secret Temple) can be used for the quest straight away.
p/s: the "Old Hero's seal" is not obtainable from normal mobs.
Forgot to mention that you will need a total of 2 Hero's seal for the quest.
@ Asuka
thanks for the comment. i think i already mentioned those, though; see the quoted paragraph following:
Another required item is called "Proof of hero" on the doratomo page; two of these items are needed. They can be obtained from the Poison Yard and from the Battle Colosseum. Alternatively, get three "Proof of old hero" items from Secret Temple and exchange them for one "Proof of hero".
Obviously you're relying on the translator too much.
Let me translate sentence by sentence for you.
In order to obtain the quest from the Auch Pioneering Officer, You must show her 2 "Hero's Seal" to show her that you're a reliable family to take up the quest.
The Hero's Seal is obtainable from Super Fights such as Poison Yard & Battle Colossuem.
"Hero's Seal" can be obtain from high level a.k.a Veteran level Super Fights, while "Old Hero's Seal" can be obtained from low level Super Fights
You have to collect 3 of the "Old Hero's Seal" to exchange into 1 "Hero's Seal"
If you don't have a high level character or equipment, you can join the normal battle Colossuem using a level 48 character.
If you go for the Battle Colosseum 3 times a day, you can earn 6 "Old Hero's Seal" in a short time.
Please take note that these Seals are not obtainable from normal mobs.

I think its quite different from those you've written below:
Another required item is called "Proof of hero" on the doratomo page; two of these items are needed. They can be obtained from the Poison Yard and from the Battle Colosseum. Alternatively, get three "Proof of old hero" items from Secret Temple and exchange them for one "Proof of hero". The article warns that it might be easier to collect the "Proof of old hero" items, because the "Proof of hero" item is a rare drop.
@ Asuka
I understand now, thank you.
Oh crap I forgot :p
Anonymous = Staark family on Caravaggio (quit already though)
@ staark
okay, credit to you going up ^^
ate meeron ka pong quest guide for chaos requiem?
@ anonymous
still looking for it. once I find a decent translation, I'll put up an entry or a link to it.
Is it just me, or is Selva's quest WAY easier than Gavin's? Oh, there are the Chaos Requiem quests. Silly me. hehehe
The tricky part there is probably getting the two Hero's Seals since they are family exclusives. Well, I should save my Katovic soup and purchase a Corridor of Assize now, and be able to deal the biggest damage against Chimaera ang Chaos Skullic for the hero seals. =P
One question: The post says something about Torsche being in the "mainland." Does this mean the Old World?
@ chinensis
no, the usage of "mainland" here refers to the main part of Granado Espada, i.e. the first part of the New World. i consider Ustiur, Bahama, and Katovic not-part of the first part of GE that was introduced to the players ^^
Thank God no more 50MPs in aquiring Selva card! Only her armshield though... :(
@ legrande
yes, selva's not precisely a cash shop character, but you DO have to complete all the Katovic, Bahamas AND Chaos Requiem quests before even attempting to meet her - so that's a big storyline investment already.
plus, the armshield is necessary for her since it gives her AR+2 automatically. might be best to stock up on MPs anyway. ^^
